Millennials and Generation Z lead the charge in growth of fresh food eating occasions.


As reported by – Per the NPD Group’s recent report “The Future of Eating: Who’s Eating What in 2018, consumption of fresh foods have grown 20%, to more than 100 billion eating occasions, between 2003 and 2013. Additionally, fresh food eating occasions would increase another 5.9 percent by 2018, with Millennials accounting for a 7.5% increase in fresh food consumption and Generation Z accounting for 11.1% of those eating occasions.
