Fashion has gone to the boys

In what many consider to be a break from the norm, LA Times recently reported Euromonitor research that shows over the last two years, men's retail sales jumped 4.1% to $101.8 billion, surpassing the 2.8% rise to $150.1 billion on the female side. And it goes on to predict that by 2017, menswear is expected to climb 8.3% to $110.3 billion, compared with just 4.2% to $156.5 billion in women's. They even have fun names for these guys Henry (High Earner, Not Rich Yet) & Yummy (Young, Urban Male).
